Sweden wants your trash!

This article talks about Sweden discovering a new way to use trash. The trash becomes energy. Also, they reduce garbage which is only four percent of  the garbage  in Sweden that ends up a landfill. In the United States,250 million tons of trash were generated in 2010 alone, only about 34 percent was recycled.
However, Sweden has recently begun importing around 800,000 tons of trash annually from other countries. For example,Norway is paying them now. and in the future, Bulgaria, Romania and Italy  will be trash exporters to Sweden. It was surprising that Sweden  succeeded  to reduce trash.I think that we should start reduce and deduce our things for environment. and then if one of country succeeded something, they help each other for the world.

Talking whale

The article talked about a Beluga whale named NOC who is able to makes noises like the human voice.  While a diver was swimming in a pool one day, he heard someone asking him to get out of the water, but when he got out, he realized that it was the whale who was making the sounds.  Many researchers were surprised to hear a Beluga whale make sounds like that, because they usually don't make sounds like that in the wild.  This is an important discovery because it means that whales can learn how to make new sounds just by listening.  I think that this was a fascinating article, and it was very interesting to learn about the Beluga whale named NOC. I had no idea that whales were able to make sounds that mimic human voices, especially because so far there is only one whale we know who can do this, NOC. If whales can talk, I would really like to have a conversation with them to know what they are thinking about!
